    that is not the "made in japan" sticker that they used

      I'm aware of two types of Japan stickers that Jackson/Charvel used.

      This is my 2009 KE3. The sticker matches the Rhoads seen in OP's post, though the Rhoads sticker does look like someone tried to peel it off and affix it back to the headstock.

        Maybe ask him to measure from nut to bridge. make sure its 25.5 scale length. If its more then it has the wrong neck on it.
