Hardshell Case for an Electric Guitar For Jackson Soloist and Dinky models Note: Not suitable for Jackson Broderick and Adrian Smith models! Internal dimensions: Total length: 101 cm, Max. width 31.5 cm, Waist: 22 cm
Strat-style guitars (such as the Charvel So-Cal seen in the below photos, and the Jackson SDXQ that's on your mind) do not fit in the SKB Jackson Soloist/Dinky Case (SKB 2996100506). The Strat body is too big for the contours of this case.
The Jackson Adrian Smith models have a specific case called ADRIAN SMITH / STRAT CASE - SKB 2996103506 as seen on https://www.jacksonguitars.com/gear/accessories. That's the precise case you want.
If you are willing to consider alternatives, you need a different case specifically made for a Strat body. If you want to stay with the SKB brand, SKB makes a number of generic (no specific brand other than SKB) cases that fit Strats. http://www.skbcases.com/music/produc...zy=&o=&limit=6
If you still want to stay with the SKB brand, and don't mind that it says Charvel on the outside, get an SKB 009-0915-000 case (https://www.google.ca/search?newwind...j0.9PhVMm1xIaw). Mine is seen below, accommodating the red Charvel So-Cal that it accompanied:
Charvel So-Cal:
Coincidentally, this case also fits superstrat bodies from various brands, seen below:
Schecter C-1:
ESP Mirage:
Ibanez RG:
Jackson Soloist:
But it will not fit a Strat body with pointy headstock:
I didn't notice this originally, but I just realized the SKB website is missing another case that I know that fits Strats. It's the 1SKB-FS-6 "shaped standard electric guitar case". Maybe SKB no longer offers it, but it's an extra option for you to explore. I have one, and it fits my So-Cals (Strats) but currently I'm storing an Ibanez RG in it.
Sorry, I didn't realize they weren't available yet. Several years back, I ended up waiting many months for a King V case to become available (apparently Jackson had switched case manufacturers around the same time...).
