Ha ha ha I caught the price changes too. The old sale price wasn’t bad at all for a graphic finish Dinky. I thought about one like this in the past but..kind of flashy for me nowadays.

He must have recently caught the prices of the new MJ line being upwards of $2500.

Naturally, he thinks this 2003ish model is a 1996 on account of a 96xxxxx serial.
          96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

It was 395 still when i posted the listing here I wonder what is the reasoning behind the price since noone bought it at 395.

I think some sellers are just spazzes

I remember watching a listing last year (don't remember what it was) and on any given day I would see the seller adjust the price up and down by several hundred bucks. no idea if they think they're performing some kind of effective sales strategy

The" My Immortal "ESP GRINCH was listed at
$ 60,000 at that time also.
                  Now it's up to $71,xxx

Did REVERB initiate a higher Sellers Fee?
I had read somewhere they are raising their Fees, but that was some months ago, and I don't remember when it was to be initiated, or if they decided not to do it.

I think their fee was 5% and it went up to 7.7% at some time last year. Most sellers just put the fee on top of the price of the product so it pays to check the store webpage if the seller is a store you might save the 7.7 % fee if you buy direct. I have done this a couple of times.

I've dealt with this seller myself. He just buys collectable guitars, then flips them at a profit, at or more than the original retail price. If I'd known this was his intent, I'd have refused to sell my WR1 to him.

                        wilkinsi

It's kinda odd that no one got it at $395, then he raised the price.

I had seriously thought about it, then I saw some of the New Models.

There is one for 300€ shipping included that I can get for 250€ due to a few dents on the sides and back, and duncan designeds that need to be replaced with real pickups.

But I don't understand why hot rod dinky is special.

Swirl finish, flame inlays.. I would understand. With switch, and real seymour duncans, sure. But newer mexico dinkies are better than those medium professionals, with the truss rod accessibility, curved bolt on, ebony fretboard, real floyd rose, not janky takeuchi where piece of metal either just melts, corrodes, or the intonation screw head just fuses with the first allen key you stick in.

On another note I never buy from those "collector" guys, or sell to them. Only real musicians I want a loved guitar, and I want any guitar I sell to be loved, melodies played on it; not sit in a box for 10 years for a greedy sale.
