  • Truss rod wrench for a SL3 2007?

Does it take a specific wrench to adjust truss rod?

Just bought the guitar and gonna do a complete setup.

Also, the stock floyd, is it a korean model or what?

    Thanks

7mm is the size of those nuts if I'm not mistaken. It's true that many sockets won't fit, but there is a specific wrench.

They got the 1000 Original Series FRT in '06 and those were Korean with OFR specs.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

          Thank you so much,
          Much appreciated.

Just asking i may do it but, does a OFR drop in with no mods, cutting, routing? Just drop right in?

Yes but the 1000 is a good trem i have both and honesty its not worth the cost unless it came with an OFR and it's a collectors piece.

Reported to be the same specs and materials as the OFR.

I got the guitar a few days a go and its more then what I was expecting.

She a beauty and plays as good as it looks too.

                I'm very happy with it.

Yes, the stock korean floyd is very solid and stable.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. In other words, the korean floyd will do just fine.

I did order from fu.tone a big bras block and brass brass claw and screws, along with some titanium hardware for it.

Install those things and it will wake up the floyd a bit. No need to drop a new OFR in.

Want to say thank you for those that responded/posted the helpful info i needed.

One guitar left to acquire to complete the rig. A G&L strat.

                Again. thank you.
