Its active Belcat pups, they've had those in a few GC limited run JSes before. From a production POV they'd use the exact same wiring harness as the EMG/Blackout/Fishman equipped one, just a different pup to plug in

I have a DXMG in like new shape. MIJ quality is very good. It's a great playing guitar, and the HZ's don't sound half bad.

I absolutely second this, I'd rather pay for the old MIJ than buy any new Jackson.

The DKMG/MGT and DX MIJ any day of the week. I have a 99 MGT that I have owned since 03. New bridge and tuners, but believe it or not the boost works great with SD passives. If you like forearm contoured bodies though versus archtop, that might sway your decision on which model.
