Looking at Warmoth, they have
Gibson said Fender heel.
obviously Gibson is not going to work, am I correct?
The JSX is Pre - Fender.
Would that be the one to get?

What is the difference in heel sizes??

You need to measure the neck heel but I would suspect 2 and 1/4 inch. I sold several DK2 and DX10D necks years ago and they were all 2 and 1/4 inch neck heel width. If I remember correctly Warmoth doesn't do that heel width but Musikraft does. Musikraft makes great necks.

They make great necks. I bought one in 2006 and even though it's a mutt it's still my favorite guitar. The neck is a big reason why.

That neck can be repaired, if the frets are bad too and you don't have the tools I can understand that. They are 2 and 1/4 necks wide and 1 and 1/16 deep give or take

Yesterday I talked to a guy that builds
Acoustic Guitars. I asked if he does Neck Repairs and plug Bodies. I told him what I have and would like for him to take a look.

Monday afternoon I have an appointment.

I see a JSX Neck on EBay for $200.
It is in good condition.

I ran a Custom Build through .MusicKraft and got the price of $298.

So if this guy says $200 I will go ahead and have him do it. If he says anything much more, then I will go for the Ebay neck. But then there's the Custom for not much more.

Friend in KC is willing to give it a go but he would have to see it in person. He said the pics look like it is looking pretty rough and can't give a cost or time estimate.

I will see what Monday brings.
