  • Kelly identification: Neck-thru, MIJ, TOM , flame top

I’ll embed images later. Here’s the link.

specs: seems similar to the KE5fr but with a Tom. While coming from Japan, it’s not a Jackson Stars or anything. I can’t see a serial on the neck for a year. Any clues?

Pick up rings and such could be aftermarket. I, just wondering about model. Seems like rosewood?

Interesting. Why can't they now make neck-thus with a TOM bridge... I'd say it's ebony. Those neck-through Pros came with ebony.

      It's rosewood
I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

fingerboard grain in the second pic looks like rosewood to me.

pearloid sharkies on ebony would be such a waste

Here's the embeds in case the listing disappears:

          Headstock

So, I'm thinking it might have been a store limited model, sort of like the Sam Ash SL2H? I'm still looking. Notice it has the sticker on the back. So I'm sure it was later post 2006 -12. That really doesn't get us much closer, but it's something.

          Yes, it is rosewood.

What Pros do you mean? Professional Pros, yes, but the later slew of neck-thru Pro Series that are contemporaries of this model from later 00s were all rosewood (ex SLAT-36, SLAT-37, KE5FR, KV5FR, RR5FR)

Notice a pattern? All have Floyds, which is why this is so unique. I don't even seen any Jackson Stars/ Grover Jacksons like this (thought I could be overlooking)

I was thinking about the more recent Pros to come out of Japan before they closed shop.

Oh the Elite like what I posted? I get it. The term 'Pro' applies to so many darn Jacksons. They want us to be confused..
