Take a flat headed screwdriver or a knife and jimmy it out from the side that doesnt have the connectors.
Also you can easily put the new battery wrong way in there and i dont know how the fluences feel about reversing the - and+ -
Battery only goes one way - reversing + and - will not produce a signal. I already had a signal, but wanted to change the battery, as I stupidly left the guitar plugged in the audio interface overnight. Anyway, I had another go with the huge scissors to wiggle it up a bit, then pulled it out with my finger.
