I ordered a (fake no doubt) USA neck plate for my JS22 on eBay. It looked really cool, but unfortunately did not fit. It’s the same size as the black China-made plate, but the screws are in slightly different places. I kind of figured this might happen, and it turned out to be a $20 experiment. C’est la vie, etc.
I’m guessing they do this because if not there would be tons of cheaper Jacksons out there being sold as US-made models to the uninitiated.
I stuck the new neck plate on my fridge and it looks cool there. This is mainly a PSA to warn anyone from wasting $20 like I did.
