Very interesting.

I’ll look at the tremolo replacement if I can’t find the parts I need to repair the current one.
As this isn’t my main guitar I don’t really want to spend a fortune modding it but I definitely want to get it back to a decent playable condition.

Razor, I apologize, was a bit harsh with my response. All JDR-94's are made in Japan. I apologize once again.

The Performer line that followed was a mix of MIJ and MIK.

That's where my confusion is from. I knew there was a line that was a mix, and forgot it was the Performer line. It's been too long since I was looking hard at import Jackson's.

I’m brand new to the forum having just registered.

I own many guitars (too many if I’m honest .. gulp!) and the oldest of them all is a JDR-94 Concept.
The tremolo base plate unfortunately has a stripped thread on one of the screw holes so whilst browsing the internet looking for replacement parts I started to notice that every photo of this guitar I looked at had all black pickups fitted.

The bridge pick-up on mine is white/cream.
I wondered what was going on so thought I would ask here to see if anybody had or has seen similar?

I bought the guitar brand new from a Music Store in the UK which unfortunately went out of business years ago. I can’t imagine they will have swapped out the pickup before selling the guitar so not sure what’s going on here really.

Anyway, I thought it may be interesting to see if anybody had any knowledge to share.

Might be worth the effort to pull the pickup and have it ID'd. Who knows, it may be a $5K+ double white PAF.

I think it’s more likely to be a $4.99 special from Wish or AliExpress

I wouldn’t know how to get it ID’d as there is not a single letter, word or number anywhere on it.
