  • SL3 Japan 2006 damage - anybody knows the original finish?

    Hello folks,

My guitars were suspended from supports in the room.

The lady who does the cleaning decided to mess with them and dropped the SL3. It made a little muss and the lacquer around it was damaged in a small area.

I don't have time at the moment to look for a luthier here in my city, but I would like to seal the varnish.

Does anyone know what varnish Jackson from Chushin Gakki used on these guitars?
This is a link to a picture of her.

It's a catalyzed high gloss clear polyurethane finish.

If you are very very careful, you can repair it with crazy glue. Go slow and do not let it run into the good areas of the finish (I F'ed up my first repair). Since then I've gotten good, even rebuilding pointy tips.
