Fun fun fun....

Well, I WAS supposed to recieve my guitar today.
Guess what, it's been cancelled by the sender and is being shipped back to him. Now I can understand this if he has not received the payment for the difference but.
I have emailed him twice and called him and left my phone number with him 3 times since we started this little project. So either he is avoiding the issues or somehow lost my contact info EVERY time I gave it to him.
This is asinine, for all I know he transposed a number on my cc. This is something that would have been an easy fix if he bothered to CONTACT ME.
I don't have the patience for this. I tried to be understanding during this clusterF**k, but my patience is gone.
I'm tabeling this **** till next week then I'll straighten it out. I've already invested more $$ in time dealing with this issue than what the actual guitar is worth.

No matter how this ends, I think Easton Guitars has lost a customer in me. I'm usually good for 1 USA Jackson a year so it's small potatoes for him anyway.

Anyhow I know the frustration you feel and I called KE and magically he has a guitar to ship out today and he gave me the tracking #, so I will keep my fingers crossed.

#10 arrived today. It came without a case, although I told KE when I paid off the balance that I did want one. He didn't charge me for a case and the guitar did arrive safely. So I guess for the most part, all is well...
8 & 1/2 months later. I'd be into a Kelly next time around depending on specs.

For all who are concerned I believe we have LE #2 (whatever it ends up being), in the hands of a different, but very well liked dealer on the board. You will be pleased. It's not a sure thing yet so I'll wait until we are a little farther along to say who.

I will still buy guitars from time to time from Kevin, but because of the number of irritated/p!ssed off/disgruntled buyers we have this time indicate we need a different dealer to keep people in.

OK, it's obvious that we have a problem here. I don't see very many of our members who are happy with the way "Easton Guitars" is doing business, but every time we log on to the forum it's his banner we have to look at. I understand that he (Kevin Easton) pays "said amount" to have his banner displayed at the top of this forum and that those funds are contributing to the continuation of this forum. So, I guess what I'm asking is how much $ is that worth? I'd much rather see all of us serious members contributing a membership fee to pay for that space instead of some half-ass dealer who we'd really rather not have represent us. I'd personally much prefer to pay a membership fee and see a big JACKSON/CHARVEL banner up there than to see some advertisement for some fukkhead dealer who most of us would prefer not to do business with in the first place. Anybody else here share my feelings???

I don't know if we have control over this kind of thing but all I can say is if a dealer is not providing the right customer service to his customers, it will speak out by itself and people will see that.
If people hear enough BS about a dealer, that will be enough to understand who to deal and who to not to.
Maybe good idea to start a poll who give better service and who don't with opinions.

For removing the banner off the main page?
That would be up to the admins, no?
But then if a JCF dealer is giving fukked up services to the members here, that is a concern.

I also think that where the DK thread is "public" a lot of the other members have figured out what is going on also.

KevinE is the board sponsor, he pays his coin for this and thus has the priveledge of being at the top of the board.

I don't think a poll is appropriate in this situation, and most definitely a vote is out of the question. This board is NOT a democracy. We are invited to participate freely as long as we abide certain rules and basic principles. This is for the administration to decide what is right and best for the board, regardless of our thoughts and feelings.

Yes, I'll admit, after the JCF-02 issues with Kevin Easton, I have lost most of my faith in him as a dealer and honestly, will not do business with him in the future, but that is my choice who I spend my money with.

I guess to wrap it up, I understand you're pissed off Mark, but let the admins deal with this. They know what's up and will act accordingly. Us ranting/raving continually isn't necessarilly going to make the issue any better or come to a faster settlement.

No, that's cool Sam, and I totally understand where you're coming from bro. My point was that it's all about advertising. That's why Eastons banner is on this forum...advertising. Ya know what I mean? I'm a business man and if there's one thing I understand, it's advertising. By purchasing that banner, Easton Guitars is helping to fund this site for a given amount of time. That's all.
Now, where the tricky part would be is in the contract that the JCF is under with Easton Guitars, and how long that banner has to stay there under the terms of that contract. That's the deal. That's a legally binding contract and for whatever the length of that contract is, we'll have to deal with seeing that banner. I guess I should have made that clear but I didn't.
Damn, I hope they didn't sign like a 10 year contract or anything.... [img]/images/graemlins/sick.gif[/img]

Observant forum members might notice this is not my much anticipated DK2LE.. BUT, it does ease the sting of being one of the first to order and pay for the LE, only to find out today mine hasn't shipped yet (awaiting case), and knowing that a cancelled order received one, heck I'd be happy to be one of you that ordered with case, but was shipped without case just so I'd have it. When it does arrive, it will be anticlimatic......

I know I am new to the board, but here is some food for though. Who is the owner of www.jcfonline.com? I did a whois @ name secures website. The answer, somebody from Downers Grove, IL. Who ever you are thank you for this board, you have done a great job. But what are these advertisers paying for, web hosting, the PHP program, the domain name, pocket change, what? This website has been a real service to me and I am sure many others. I feel that everyone on this board is a brother whether I see eye to eye or not. That everyone here I have a certain bond/trust with, whether I have meet them or not. I also felt that way about the banner on the board and have more than once tried to defend KE and calm the board about this purchase. But enough is enough. (Wasn’t that an 80’s band?) From what I have read on this board I can’t help but feel betrayed by a brother. If he could have taken the time to contact us individually and treat us as real customers I am sure we would have all been happy. Hell there was only what, 24 of us?

A little honesty can go a long way, but to be dishonest at this level is just not a good business move.
