Re: Couple of tech questions

It's a good thing those are "quick change" huh Toejam! I replace the pickup at every string change and it'd be a real pain to have to rewire it every time!

They do have a battery compartment, it's called the control cavity. Why would you want a separate compartment? I know it's a real b!tch to remove those three screws but damn!

      [/ QUOTE ]

The only advantage I see for the separate battery box is playing gigs. If your battery dies in the middle of your gig, you can reach into your pocket for that spare 9V battery you should always have at gigs, flip open the battery box lid, and switch the batteries. Don't want to carry a screwdriver in your pocket onstage...

At least this was my brother and I's reasoning when it came down to ordering his EMG-loaded Warmoth bass parts, as he's going to be gigging more and more as he reaches legal age...

Yeah, it comes in handy... I like to change to a different pickup for every song!

To hell with every song... I change it every note I pluck. It's a real adventure trying to swap pickups when the strings are on the guitar and tuned to pitch. Yeah baby!

Well, actually, One might want to carry a screwdriver in your pocket onstage... Just make sure you put it in your pocket handle first.

Well, the twins arrived today. #06 and #17. Seem like nice axes. I haven't got to play them yet though. The # stamping is kinda cheezy but oh well.

Now you need to do black Automotive Pinstripe binding on one of them.
