I agree with the guys on this thread on trying to make this LE run a unique Jackson. I could see the RR being the favored choice (a RR with 24 fret maple board with black sharkfins would be cool and different)...my vote went with the Warrior though. Anyway...can't wait to see how it turns out. Anyone taking emails or posting pics on potential colors and options?

I am kind of wondering why Jackson would set a limit of 100 this time around, while the DK2LE was only 24. Maybe they lost money on the DK2LE?

They couldn't have lost money on the DK2LE. It was basically a stripped down version of the DK2 with a cheaper neck, less routing, and a very simple paint job. Yeah, the EMG added a few bucks but whoopee.

I would jump on a maple black sharkies 24 fret RR. I would take just about any color but black or fruity ones, but blue would be killer.

Yeah very unlikely Jackson lost money on the DK2LE, When you look at it went for about the same price as the DK2 but had less routing done to it, & I doubt they had to buy an extra load of Maple for the fretboard, they most likely have that on hand. I also doubt the EMG made it a money loser.
In all likelyhood they (FMIC) think they found a way to generate some more $$$, obviously the other limited runs have been successful, so there is potential to capitalize on that.
Now GC/MF can do a limited run w/ that high of a production order, but the independents would have a harder time justifying it, 50 might be feasible, but 100 or more seems unrealistic.

Man this is starting to sound unlikely, I will be disappointed if this can't get off the ground after the succesful DK2LE.

Thats the problem with us posting our ideas here, any dealer is free to come in and rip us off. Didn't we post a virtually identical guitar? It's too much of a coincidence, white, one hum w/ 81, onle 24 available. There are so many things about that pissing me off I don't know where to start. Meanwhile we can't even get another 24 order run started.
