Re: Help about jackson Ps/1 ps/2
This is my PS1:
Its basically a cheapish 22 fret Strat with a humbucker in the bridge.
I believe some are Japanese, but I think mine was made in India.
The stock bridge pickup was no good for me (too weak)...I replaced it with a Kent Armstrong distortion...sorted.
Build quality, finish etc is...OK...I would say about on a par with my Epiphone '58 V....electrics are a bit weak, but new switch and pots would sort it.
It plays really nicely, and stays in tune well. I've recorded with it and gigged it a few times and it has never let me down.
It hasn;t got much mojo to it, but the single coils sound nice in a stratty sort of way and it plays great.
In all honesty, as a working guitar, I prefer it to my Dinky DR3 with a tone zone in the bridge..but the DR3 is much prettier.....
