Limited Kelly Stringthru suggestion

after all this MIJ-LTD threads around here with the rhoads, warrior and of course the dk2le, i had thoughts of this Kelly:



string-thru, ebony if possible, reverse sharks, bolt-on (neck-thru will be too expensive i think), head- and neck-binding, MIJ

i´m not talking about a JS30-series guitar!

this is only an idea, i don´t want to order it tomorrow, but maybe in the first half of 2005.

let me know what you guys think about it.

That's a cool idea! Depending on the price I would be in on that....I REALLY want a Kelly with neck binding....String thru or Floyd doesn't bother me either way...I think you might have trouble getting them to do a string through Japan guitar because the only string through Kelly's are Indian....Anyone else care to chime in?

I'd be up for this, since they don't currently do not have a Kelly in the X-series, which is where that Rhoads Legend seems to have come from. The only way you can get a Kelly right now is with a Floyd, or a tune-o-matic in the Indian line, so I'd want a tune-o-matic. I really hate Floyds.

I know it's not possible but it would be cool as hell to have a Kelly in 24 3/4" scale length IMO...it is after all inspired somewhat by an explorer.

I'd be in for the string-thru. I think we'd have problems with getting ebony and the binding/sharkies would be mother of plastic .....
