and no, i dont think i should buy one from the US....as you said, too expensive.

[/ QUOTE ]

Buying a guitar from the US _might_ save you money. You'll have to get a price and compare. With USA Jacksons, you could save as much as 500 euros from buying from America instead of paying what dealers in Germany might ask.

slayer, malevolent creation, kreator etc., judas priest is definitely not even close in terms of heaviness....or maybe you dont even call judas priest metal???

[/ QUOTE ]

Judas Priest is metal. Malevolent Creation is Death Metal, Kreator is on the edge of Thrash/DM, and Slayer is just Slayer... lol All excellent bands!

I would suggest the DKMG/T.

Dude, i was at Screaming For Vengeance tour in 1984 when Iron Maiden opened for them on their Number Of The Beast tour. I KNOW my metal. I just never heard Priest referred to as "lighter" metal. But of course compared to the others, only Slayer i have heard (saw the south of heaven tour), and Priest is not as "heavy" as them for sure. The SLSMG is pretty expensive but the couple I played seemed really nice. Other than that though, I'd go with the DKMGT.

Screaming for Vengance tour was in 1982, not 1984. I had my choice to go see Screaming or Ozzy with Rhoads. I picked Ozzy and ended up getting grounded and wasn't allowed to go. That was right before Randy died.

I saw the Defenders of the Faith tour, which was in 84, twice.

The "Beast On The Road Tour" was also in 1982 if I have my Maiden history correct too. By 1983, they were already doing the "World Piece Tour" in support of "Piece Of Mind".

So you probably meant 1982 to see the Vengeance and Beast shows. Man, that would have been great to see, but I wasn't even conceived yet...

i was only 14 and it was my first show, maiden opened for priest. I will never decide one way or the other which i enjoyed more, but if i had to choose i think it would have been maiden. the combo of adrian and dave with that driving friggin bass of steve...the freakin best.

hey man, i didn't want to offend you. i was just wondering about you post. peace

but anyways, back to the topic: i just took the DAMN cover off the bridge pickup (j90c), and WHOA...i dont think i'll sell that guitar...EVER. with the cover on, the sound was muffled, muddy, and reeeeally weak. i can't believe how much better the sound is now.
(the only thing i'm kind of worried about now is the neck. the tussrod is REALLY hard to move....actually, it doesn't move at all, and i dont want to apply too much force. the neck only needs a really slight adjustment, but i'm worried that i might fukk up the neck if i applied too much force on the tussrod)

i'll try to buy a jackson, though. maybe a nice kvx10 with a set of EMG pickups? the RR3 is quite nice, too, because of the tremolo, but when i checked one out at the store the electronics seemed to be really cheap. for example, if i turned the neck pickup volume all the way down there was still some signal coming through. the stock detonator pickups are said to be fairly decent, though, so a pickup change might not be totally neccessary.

greets
fragle

ps: totally off topic, but yesterday i finally bought saxon - denim and leather. shitty sound, awesome tunes.
i love it

Just go to a luthier or a shop to have the adjustment done.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

If it won't budge, I'd try to losen it 1/4-1/2 turn before trying to do any tightening. Give moderate pressure. At least that way you'll be much less likely to damage it. Overtightening it is how damage is caused... If it won't budge at all, take it to a luthier.
