• btw...

Im new, just kinda jumped in on threads, so I wanna introduce myself. My name is Troy, been playing guitar for 17 years, mostly strats/inbanhads, until I bought my SLSMG with the EDS paint job. I play progressive metal/hard rock.

It's an honor to be here, hope I can contribute somehow.

    ps, Jackson rules all. period.

how much was your slsmg with eds paint job? and do you know how many there are like this (as this is not a standard colour option)?

Welcome aboard! I really like the EDS finish on the SLSMG's. Hey cookiemonster they are $839.00 at my local guitar center but I could probably get one for 750-800 range.

                Re: btw...

I heard they made 500 transtop slsmg's (in each red or black, or combined?) so they could have done the same for the eds. It seems to be a gc 'exclusive' but most jackson dealers could get ahold of them. No doubt about it these guitars rock though

                    Re: btw...

Not sure on the count made, but it is the most beautiful damned guitar ya ever seen The fact that it plays as well as it does, is just a huge bonus. I paid 900 for mine btw, seems like thats slightly more than the general concensus. I woulda paid 1200

Also, I dig the EMG HZ's, I plug my guitar straight into a 50 watt tube Crate Stealth, 400 Watt 4x12 cab, lil bit of compression, and the guitar just screams. I notice not many are partial to them. I love em so far.
