Re: hands down the best made jackson import is?

Do you feel as strongly as the Charvel Model 6 fans do about the USA quality of theirs? How you think the Pros compare to Model 6?

Re: hands down the best made jackson import is?

The Model 6 is an example of an extremely well made Japanese guitar, like all the early neck-thrus of that era. They were just like a Soloist of the time, but with a rosewood board instead of ebony.

The early Pros were exact replicas of their USA counterparts, ebony boards, hardware, everything. They were the same thing, only MIJ, and a bit cheaper. ESP do it, anybody can build super high quality in Japan, you just have to ask for that kind of quality. They don't ask that of the Japanese shop anymore.

I'd say based on my no trem bias, the AT Pro stringthrus
but most exquisite I'll agree on the Lim91 AT Pro

Took a while of translating to find out why I saw no 'completed auctions' option on ebay.de but alas it was hidden.

The Model 6 is an awesome guitar, I think it compares the same w/ my KV Pro. I just need more room so I can get the Model 6 & a Rhoads Pro.

Guys, I have an early 90's RR Pro and agree that it is top quality and I rate it as much as my SL2H and SL1. I am considering buying a '86 King V Pro (on evilbay UK). Would this have been built aswell as my RR pro?

Yes, but that model wasn't made in '86. What's the serial number?

Never mind, I found the auction:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

This is actually a King V Std, made in Japan in the mid 90s. You can see the model name right on the truss rod cover.

It does not have sharkfins nor an ebony board, so it's not in the same class as your RR Pro. BTW, ebay is lousy with King V Stds for some reason. If you want a MIJ ebony boarded King V, wait for an actual King V Pro (Dave Mustaine sig).

Hello Quite New To The Jackson Forum Here.

I have a Jackson JS30 24Fret With The Floyd Licenced Trem With The Small Inlays, Blue With The Duncan Designed Pups.

I Have Bought Loads of Guitars Over The Years E.g. American Strat, Variax 800, B.C Rich Warlock Acrilic Series, Which are all for Sale..

Re: hands down the best made jackson import is?

With the case I think that's a good deal. I paid $285 for my purple one without the case (+s&h).

Mod's? I asked that too when I got mine. Now that I've had it for a while, I think it sounds good as-is.

Most others will tell you to upgrade pots, caps and to throw in a real Duncan Distortion.
