Kevin Bond Rhoads Models: First Look at Them

<font color="#00FFFF"> Just wanted to give you all a 1st hand look at the new Kevin Bond Signature Rhoads Models!
The red bevel ones arrived today and the neon green bevel ones will be at my shop next week Along with the Christian Olde Wolbers Archtop Dinky guitars as well.
I have an estimated delivery date of May 18-19 so I'll have plenty more pics for you when they arrive [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

A couple cool features that we didn't know about is the signature on the back of the headstock and the lovely sig truss rod cover!
These guitars are way over the top and play and feel amazing!!
Also, I'm told that the green bevels WILL indeed have the pot leaf inlays as well...

I'm completely impressed with the quality of these new models!

So wait a second here. I thought the pentagrams were supposed to be red. Does that mean the pot leaves will be M.O.P too?

What is the build quality like on those guitars? (inlays, binding etc). Is it up there with the early 90's Jackson Pro series guitars?

To me, the bigger pics on Scott's site make the inlays look like the infill is black plastic i.e. a simple circle is cut out of the fingerboard and the whole pentagram, including the 'background' wood is then inserted?

I only ask as if I get one, I will have to order it without having seen one in the flesh...

I would agree Neilli. It certainly looks like they just route a big circle, and the whole pentagram is put in at once.

I want one with green bevels! Though, since when are there supposed to be pot leaves on it? I thought Jackson wouldn't put out a production model with them... just the pentagrams only. [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

Look at the volume knob, that´s not good news...

I´d wish the red was a bit darker too. But pretty cool anyway.
