No engraving on neck plate on KX10D?

I just got a Jackson KX10D off ebay. It's stamped "used" on the back of the head stock (I knew this before I bought it) but it's in excellent condition. Only thing is there's no engraving on the neck plate. My other Jackson (DKMG) has Jackson and the serial number engraved on the neck plate. This KX10D has nothing on the plate and the serial number is on a sticker on the plate. Is this normal? I just saw some posted pictures of an RX10D that had the Jackson engraving on the plate and so I started to wonder......

Did you buy it from a Music Go Round store? They do a lot of eBay sales, and are notorious for the used stamp and/or blank neckplate. That sticker is an inventory number, not the Jackson serial number.
