I paid $950 shipped from Japan with an aftermarket SKB-style hard case. It was a store display model that was being clearanced to make room for the new model - the J1 (ebony board).
I love it. If I can help it, I'll never sell it. I'd love to find a stopbar/TOM one to match it.
I wish they'd make this a neckthrough or bolt-on USA or Professional model, and not change anything about it (including the headstock). I'd also love to see it with a maple board and ebony inlays with the abalone stripe in the center
Damn I need to hit the Powerball
I swapped the pickups recently (Custom and JB) for an Iommi and an Angus
The Custom was ok in the bridge, but it sounded too much darker than all my others. The JB in the bridge was great, and I may go back to that.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I asked about the TSBL and what told 163000 yen
thats 1500 bucks plus customs...
I can get another Kelly or King V for that
and i would prolly be beaten senseless by my wife
No customs charge. $120 shipped I think, and that was included in the $950 I paid, as well as PayPal fees and $10 gas money to the guy who bought it on my behalf.
I believe it came from an Ishibashi store in Tokyo. I still have one of the store tags or the receipt somewhere

Schaller trem. Schaller makes the OFR. Closest thing you can get to an OFR without getting an OFR, but strangely you can buy new OFRs for less, and in more places
The neck is perfect. Thin and fairly wide, but not overly thin or overly wide (Lynch ESPs are WAAAAY too wide for me, as was the DR2 that I had). I haven't had a recent USA Jackson to compare the neck to, though. Thinner than my 93 LP Standard neck, thinner than the JCF necks, maybe as thin as a JTX Standard neck, thinner than a 2002 DK2 neck.
That's about as close as I can get it
