the neck is based off of my "67" reissue gibson flying v. i sent jackson my guitar and they took the specs from that neck for my jackson.

Kevin, congrats on the sig model! That is pretty sweet and you did a hell of a good job on it. I can honestly say that is the only signature model guitar I want, ever among all manufacurers (from the second I saw it)!

So my next question is : are your "original" ones the same weight ? The sig model seems a bit too light for my taste even though it still sounds great.

you say its really light, but does that cause any neck-heaviness? if the body is too light....could make it unbalanced which i really dont like when that happens. i really wanna buy one of these though...ill probably get one around X-mas time

ex250nj > Nope, no balance problem at all [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] the whole guitar is quite light. It can be annoying at first and when you switch from an alder/maple RR1 to the Bond Rhoads but it's not that big a deal...
kevinbond > that's what I figured, thanks [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] By the way, you probably don't care, but that choice of pickup is really killer and the fact that it's stock in a japanese guitar makes it even more killer [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]... I just had a push-pull installed, it turns the baby in a squealing rock/blues killing machine haha...
