I accidently [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] scored one of these on eBay and it finally made it here.
You´ve seen pics of these before but..



and then the "JCF on the screen" shot [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]



Anyway, there are a few paint blems especially on the bevels and sides and the neck binding.
Not easy to take pics of and honestly you have to look very closely to see them, however I don´t think this is good enough..
Then.., the thing that I´m more worried about is this:





Maybe not easy to see, but the high E-string is way closer to the edge than the low E. I thought this was more common on bolt-ons..?

Guitar in itself is really cool, Iommi pup rocks, it´s very light, the inlays didn´t fancy me to much on pics, but I have to say they look awesome in person.
The volume knob placement doesn´t bother me anymore either Newc [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Hmm...have you checked so the nut is evenly cut and the high E string is corrctly seated at the bridge? Because it looks in that picture like there's also uneven string spacing? Or maybe it's just the pic? [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

The string is correctly seated at the bridge, but the nut may solve the problem actually.
My camera doesn´t handle pics close enough to show it proberly though, sorry.

What does the Iommi pickup sound like? I have never heard them before. It looks like an X2N, but I wanna know how it sounds.

Uhm, my first posting. Hello everyone.

I got my Bond Rhoads yesterday, blood-red-version as seen on the photos here.

It is my first Jackson and it def. kicks some serious ass. Looks totally mean and sounds like a tank. I own a Gibson LesPaul Studio with a SD JB and a Schecter Scorpion with a DM X2N but both of them seem to be flowerchildren compared to this vile metal-monster. Holy shit. Unfortunately it is not easy to get your hands on one over here in Germany.

Anyway, I just own it for one day and I am already totally in love with it.

I´d say if you like bloodred bevels and pentagram inlays you´re kinda into this style [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
I´d think that´s the most radical features on this guitar.

Kevin Bond Rhoads is 100% certainly next on my list.
I'm getting aqauinted with the inlays...maybe they'll bring out my inner beast in playing more ..heheh.
