  • What's the heel width size of a DK2?

I'm thinking about getting one and replacing the neck with a strat neck. Also, what kind of tremolo does it have?

Normal strat necks won't fit, as its a 24 fretter and the heel length and width is vastly different....

Trem is a JT580LP and can be replaced with a Schaller, Gotoh or Original Floyd...

So you mean that I cannot replace the neck with a Custom neck from Warmoth or USA Custom?

        Nope.

You need a 24 fret neck (with the longer heel) for that body.

the distance between the nut and oh, say the middle of the string saddle adjustment range on a DK2 or pretty much any Jackson guitar needs to be 25-1/2" (The scale length)

Otherwise your intonation will be miles off and it'll never tune right.

Warmoth adds a fingerboard extension, to make up a 24 fret neck.

If you put a Warmoth neck on, you would see that the heel is shorter than the 24 fret Jackson neck, changing the bridge-nut relationship.

As for USA Custom, I can't comment.
