• COWs = great deals?

At first I thought they were expensive for a bolt on. Then I figured, the black version is cheaper than a DKMGT for instance. And you get an active EMG with it, ebony board, total mojo... Could it be that they are really great bang for the bucks? I really wish I could try one out but I am totally put off by the 'signature' thing. I'd probably replace the truss rod cover and scrape his sig out of the headstock's back haha...
Any comments on them? I did make a search by the way. How is the neck in particular on them?

A pity about the TOM bridge, or I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I don't think there's been much feedback about them here yet, because they're so new.

Despite the bridge, I'm tempted to get one as an experiment in the seven-string world...

I fancy getting a shot of one but I suspect it will be a while before I see one in the UK.

I like the simplicity of the guitar, fits in with most of my other Jacksons (JJ4 and JDX-94).

The TOM is the reason why I love it really... I have a guitar with a Floyd and I want a fixed bridge guitar for more tuning flexibility... It looks friggin' awesome too.

COW stands for Christian Olde Wolbers--the guy it was designed for.

I haven't even seen one, since they haven't filtered down to my local GCs, yet.

No reviews on the HC website I haven't seen either but shops here don't ever carry Jacksons anyway, and it's pretty much the same in Holland. I don't know yet about France but I won't be back there for a bit anyway. But for 100 pounds more than a DK2... mhmm... I mean a DK2 with a new bridge pickup would reach that price. With the COW, I get an ebony fretboard, no Floyd, a reverse headstock... Arghh I need to drool more.
Someone on here has one I believe. How is the neck, does anyone know? Profile? Maybe also, how would it compare to a Charvel model series neck?

The guitar is great! Worth every penny I paid for it. I got the 6-string version, BTW. The neck is slimmer than the model series...maybe like a thin C-shape. The body is very light and it sounds fabulous. I REALLY reccommend this guitar. These two new sig models are a step in the right direction. I mean, you get the custom shop look for an import price. Also, regardless of whether you're a Bonds or Wolbers fan, they are 'underground' enough that the guitar looks like something totally custom. Having said that, I may change the truss rod cover for a more simplified look. The sig on the back is staying. It's under the clearcoat and I like it. No one that has seen mine has recognized it. Plus, you get an ebony board devoid of inlays and mahogany construction. All good in my book. I was quoted nearly 3k for an identical guitar with a basswood body by the custom shop about 3 years ago. This is as close as I'll get.

I too was expecting to see a guitar with a black & white spotted graphic.

MOOOOO!

It was hard enough to strap a guitar on a cow, there ain't no friggin way I'd try to put one on the bull.
