After I snapped pics of my USA Jacksons with the new camera, I decided to snap a group shot of the imports as well. Once again, ignore the big date that I later figured out how to turn off.
Except for the screwball low 18th fret, the thing plays great. Once I chucked the EMG-Hz's in the trash, and replaced them with a Jazz/JB set, it started sounding great as well. I got it from Matt Crooks, and he summed it up best: it doesn't quite sound like a guitar, since the longer scale makes all the harmonic overtones sound different. Much punchier sounding than a 25.5" scale tuned to B IMHO.
The Model 6 is my project guitar, currently getting a brand new paintjob. Black with purple/gold flip-flop hotrod stripes (the two big stripes, outlined by pins), and a sparkle in the clearcoat. The headstock is going to match the stripes.
