I'm getting as bad as Newc - DK2LE current pics

I saw this one in the gallery and figured it'd look good on my DK2LE:



So I stripped off the Ouija decal that I paid too much for:





(Not really a big fan of decals on guitars anyway)

... and I created (or should I say "spawned") this:









Here's a side-by-side shot of the Charvel and the Jackson. Mine's no factory finish, but I think it came out okay. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I think that looks almost better than the factory finish. Yours is much less neater and precise looking (in my opinion, and in this case I think its a good thing). Awesome job!

Yeah, I had the neck painted white, but I went ahead and stripped it and re-oiled it. Feels a lot better now.

No, it's not real blood, but I used a technique I doubt a professional would use. I wrapped my hand in a plastic bag, sprayed gobs of paint into my hand, and then just slung it on the guitar. I think it's a pretty good technique. Had I waited a few weeks for it to dry properly, I could have sanded it down and then clear-coated it and made it look better. I don't know why I bought the paintyourownguitar.com e-book... I don't have the patience to wait for paint to dry [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
