The 580LPs look more like the lo-pro edge trems. The locking string screws are short and come up and out from the saddles.

On the 500, the saddle lock screws go through the back and underneath the fine tuners just like on an OFR.

That's basically it.

the 500's are realy realy cheap as well , realy crapy and the don't stay in tune at all , thats the experiance that I have had with em anyway .//Steve

I've got both a DX10 and a DK2...

Both trems seem to perform exactly the same to me. Actually I can't seem to find a practical playing difference between either guitar, for that matter. <shrug>

Come to think about it, there's very little difference between them and my 80's Charvels, I seem to get the same level of performance out of ALL my guitars.. mebbe I've got a good guitar tech. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
