Nice guitar, and what a sweet finish I bought a cherry black one last month, insane guitar. Do you have small(hair sized-) cracks in the ebony?
What kind of pickups do you guys recommend? I was thinking about a X2N and 2 Fast Track 2's, but the FT2 has that "lip" and will not fit unless I go to the router(man that router guy first for that OFR issue and maybe now for pickups). Or maybe a HSS George Lynch set?
You just missed the boat on a Soloist Pro. It was a steal at $430. I think the Pro's are bringing stupid money personally, especially when you can get a USA for close to the same price if you watch and wait long enough (not that I'm an expert on watching and waiting). I bid on a yellow Soloist Pro on the Bay a few weeks ago that went for over $430, and if I had known Heather wouldn't have killed me I would have max bid at $500, which is the limit I'm willing to spend on any Pro.
I would agree with Ray $500.00 would be max for a nice 90-91 Soloist Pro.For a REALLY clean example (must look brand new) $600.00 would be my max.
The only Professional that I would pay more for(and have)would be the Archtop Soloist Pro.They and Warriors are definitely the hardest to find. And in turn sell for more than the easier to find Soloist , Rhoads and Fusions.

I would have done what I needed to do to get that yellow Soloist. It still bothers me that I missed that auction altogether. I have two '90 Pros, and my brother Dave has two USA Soloists ('88 and '89) and I wouldn't trade either of my Pro's for either of his USA's. I know every one is different, but the '90 Pros I've seen have been well worth the $500 buck price of admission. And often, $500 is the high side, with my two costing 825 together (both this year). I also have a Kelly Pro I'm waiting on getting refined, it's just on the back burner at the moment.
