The DXMG was never made in Korea. The 1st year of production was in India.
That being said, I would also say get a Japanese production DXMG. The JT580 trem is a better trem, also the Japanese finishes are better quality. On my DXMG the finish seems a bit thin and seems to show some pitting (small indentations) that you can see up close. But overall I like mine.

So they changed the Floyd routing then on the Japanese ones that have the JT580LP with rounded baseplate instead of the squared off baseplate of the JT500?
