The R10 is the previous version of the RX10/D. The R10, K10 and D10 (IIRC) were introduced then a short time later were christened the X series with a subsequent name change. The R10 and early RX10/D's were built in India. Production has since moved to Japan and they quality is appreciably higher, and since they're roughly the same price, a much better value.

As far as I know, one had dots in the neck while the other has sharkfins, which is the biggest difference cosmetically.
