I bought my first Jackson, (DK2) needless to say i'm very happy with it despite a few trem problems which i have now more or less sorted.

i was talking to some one about my jackson, and aparently i should replace my FR trem, because the knife edges get dammaged quickly, is this true?

If it works and you like it, there's really no reason to replace it. They do tend to get damaged easilly, so you may have to replace it at some point if you'll be using/abusing it a lot.
