Shorter head on DM KV Pro?

Ok, so I got my Mustaine KV Pro, and I noticed the head seems to be shorter than all my other Jacksons (import and USA). The first tuner is 1 9/16" from the fretboard-side of the nut, and the first tuner of my Firebird Pro is over 2" away from the same point.
It looks like a penguin with no neck [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
