Does Jackson actually have its own manufacturing operation or are they produced in a samick type plant?

    Re: Made in Japan Jacksons

Jackson is one of the few companies to have its own production facilities. Grover Jackson set it up in Japan, originally the Charvel plant, as it was referred to. No other guitar brands are made in it except for Jackson.

I'm not sure if Jackson owns the Japanese facility or not. The way things were done, I don't think they do. I could be wrong though. Either way, it's not a Samick type plant.

Jackson is one of the only ones over seas that has a Japan plant I've heard that for years and you can see it in the quaility cause no other brands imports even come close to the Jackson imports and you can see it the hardware the trem jt 580 lp is light years ahead of the trems they put on hamers esp or bc rich imports , Ibanez are the only ones that have a trem as good as the jt 580 lp [they probably use the same thing , low pro something] but I have never seen a import guitar[insert brand here] that felt or played as nice as a import Jackson so I really think they do have they're own shop there cause other wise they would play just as good as a samick or a import hamer or esp blah blah ... I have just heard that that was the case , but I never got to ask Kevin Easton about it before he left that was one question I forgot to ask him that I always wondered about , **** I am gonna email now and ask. //Steve
