Finally got done sanding!!!!

I finally got done sanding my Kelly.I havnt put the wood stain on it yet because I had to put it back together to play a show,oh well I'll get to it sometime,and now 7 days a week I am kicking myself in the ass because I left my Dinky in New Orleans when we evacuated.Hopefully its still there,I am praying. I agree, maybe something that just causes the wood tone to darken a little & enhance the grain.

Staining and resanding tend to make the grain "come alive". PRS does that with their ten tops as does McNaught and alot of other "boutique" luthiers, thats got nice figure already so I'd say a burst finish if you have the ability to do it would look wicked on that top.

If you stain it, make it a dark stain to match the rest of the body. A Blackburst would look killer.
