Took my RR3 to get implanted with EMG'S:)

[img]graemlins/band.gif[/img] I got off work early today so i could take my RR3 to my local guitar shop I'm having my bud who works there install 2 EMG 81's in it for me [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] also im having him remove my tone control(i dont use it!) I can't wait till this sucker is done!!! im sooooooooo happy right now im gonna get my sl4 soloist done real soon too can't wait! can't wait!!! Gonna be sooooooo Bada$$!!!!!!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] just wondering can any1 tell me how the emg81 sounds in the neck position????? i realy just need the bridge pickup anyway, thats all my model 2 charvel has and its great!!! Im not sure how different the 81 sounds in the neck as aposed to it in the bridge, none the less you have alot of fun! It will sound awesome!

I put the chrome EMG 25th anniversary 81 set in my Hamer. I absolutely love it!! The 81 in the neck is definitely brighter than what an 85 would sound like in the neck position. I tend to like brighter neck pups, so it suits me well. I never really used a neck pup much, but I do seem to enjoy it a bit more now.
