Re: MY JACKSON STARS KV CAME!!111

I got it through ordering from Ishibashi. They were very helpful in doing business. I'll admit it, it's no USA series, I'd say mainly because it's the -J2 series, (I don't know about the -J1 series). You can easily notice some lower quality in the bindings and frets and stuff, but for the price, this is awesome. I'd compare it to an LTD DV8, because it's the closest thing I've come across to it. I'd say it's better than the DV8 though, the striped ebony is nicer, the neck has a better feel to it, and the body is really nicely balanced. I usually suck at playing standing up, but this guitar just balances nicely.

I'm considering the Jackson Stars RR7, but I can't read all the Japanese writing, and don't really know how to contact, or how to 'analyze' pricing...??? Did you call? Mail order? Any 'duties' or shipping taxes?

No import taxes into America from Japan or Canada (and Mexico I assume).

Ishibashi has a "For Overseas Customers" button - push it and read the page that opens.

Ikebe has a "Inquire for more info" type button with a form you fill out (name, email, item#, etc).

I'm not sure but I think the RR7 is exclusively from Ikebe. And I don't know how to get a hold of them, because I tried myself in the beginning and the e-mails never got through to them.

Newc, mind giving letting us know where that button is? I can't read Japanese.

BTW: That is one badass looking KV. How does that new Kahler compare to the older ones?
