• I put a X2N in my RR3

And WOW!! Talk about a difference. I'm floored. This pickup is amazing. It just brings the guitar to life, gives it some guts..it's hard to explain. Anyhow, if you've been thinking about doing it..I HIGHLY recommend it.

X2Ns kick ass!!! I had one for many years in my old Kramer. I then put it in my Model 5A when I retired the Kramer, and it was way bright in that guitar. Then I put that in my old
Warrior MG mutt with a Super 2 in the neck and it ruled!!! Now those pups are just sitting in my parts drawer and are waiting for a project.

x2n's really are massive! Very nice pickup, makes the guitar scream.

Cool Jeri!

Can you post some auio files to hear about what you're talking ?

Thanks,

Glad you like the X2N Jeri! I had that pickup in my Rhoads for a while; the rhythm tone with it is very nice. It seemed to lack a bit of clarity though, but I don’t think I was ever able to find the X2N’s “sweet spot”.

Chris, I play rhythm in our band anyway..works great for me.
Rodrigo, I'll work on that for ya.

Well most people like it as a lead pickup as well. I’ve never heard any complaints of the X2N lacking clarity so I no for a fact I always had it adjusted too high.

Years ago I put an X2N in my Dean Dime guitar, helluva difference...great pickups, especially for the heavy stuff...

X2Ns rock! Hope you have a lot of fun with it!
I'm about to get a pink one for my EDS DK2, and put the black one that's already in there in my WRMG. Can't wait to do that
I also found it to be not as tight and clear sounding as an EMG 81 f.e., but it's much more alive and balanced, and has a really nice growl too. Good for leads as well, at least AFAIC.

my fav too! try a coil tap for strat bridge pickup tones too.

Yes, coil tapped, it's really awesome! The more output a humbucker has, the better and more approximate single coil sounds it will put out when split.

I never had a X2N. How does it compare to a Dimebucker?

X2N is my favorite passive pickup
