And WOW!! Talk about a difference. I'm floored. This pickup is amazing. It just brings the guitar to life, gives it some guts..it's hard to explain. Anyhow, if you've been thinking about doing it..I HIGHLY recommend it.

Re: I put a X2N in my RR3
X2Ns kick ass!!! I had one for many years in my old Kramer. I then put it in my Model 5A when I retired the Kramer, and it was way bright in that guitar. Then I put that in my old
Warrior MG mutt with a Super 2 in the neck and it ruled!!! Now those pups are just sitting in my parts drawer and are waiting for a project.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Glad you like the X2N Jeri! I had that pickup in my Rhoads for a while; the rhythm tone with it is very nice. It seemed to lack a bit of clarity though, but I don’t think I was ever able to find the X2N’s “sweet spot”.

X2Ns rock! Hope you have a lot of fun with it!
I'm about to get a pink one for my EDS DK2, and put the black one that's already in there in my WRMG. Can't wait to do that
I also found it to be not as tight and clear sounding as an EMG 81 f.e., but it's much more alive and balanced, and has a really nice growl too. Good for leads as well, at least AFAIC.

my fav too! try a coil tap for strat bridge pickup tones too.

Yes, coil tapped, it's really awesome! The more output a humbucker has, the better and more approximate single coil sounds it will put out when split. I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
