Front of the head? You've seen one Dave Mustaine sig you've seen them all
I didn't cover the front of the head at all - it's still black with the Jackson/Mustaine logos

I covered the back and sides, though, but the pics washed out in the flash. Will have to try again outside (rain coming, so it'll be a few days)

Re: Snakeskin Mustaine Pro

The neck is very smooth. Not exactly like an oiled or painted neck, but somewhere in between. Can't really say as all I've ever played were painted, oiled, and clearcoated necks (Fender, etc). It doesn't hamper motion at all.

Re: Snakeskin Mustaine Pro

Changing the bridge did more to change the tone than adding the fabric - it's much brighter and punchier now than with the 3310
The fabric itself is cotton, like what you'd find in a typical shirt or woman's skirt/dress (thin and lightweight), and the glue has practically no weight to it. Take off the hardware/pickups and the neck weighs far more than the body because of the trussrod

And just to clarify, I didn't write the tutorial - Brian Calvert did.

Back:

The Tuneomatic implant came out pretty good, but I had to swap the inserts for some others I had laying around. The original inserts I had wouldn't go down far enough because they had a small lip around the top, and I needed a 9/16" bit to flush them with the surface, and of course I ain't got said bit
Anyhoo, the new inserts don't have the lip, so they went a bit deeper than the others, but I still need to sink them farther down because they seem slightly taller than the others
Anyhoo, the action's a tad high. Liveable, but the tuna's all the way down and I still got clearance. Once I sink them down a little more I can start at fretting out at work my way up to where the action should be

The Stopbar came out slightly crooked as well, but I can live with it. I'll hang onto the 3310, though, just in case I run into problems in the future and need to swap it back in a pinch.

I've got the whole surface covered - it even goes right along the binding on the neck and head (some overlap, but it's nothing to mention). I've also got a coupla patches on the edges as I said before, but I tried to blend them and think I did a good job on doing so

It's not glassy smooth, but it does feel a bit like snakeskin
