Strange... They worked for me when I made the edit. Now they're not unless I copy the shortcut. Hmmm, that is a goofy host.

how did you totally destroy the body? Is it just frustrating you prepping it, or did you cut the horns off it or something?

well, we were expeimenting with reshaping the body and ahd an accident with the scroll saw. Being not always so calm(ill tempered), after the first accident I didnt see the body as being savable.

I have been corrected on the name of the tool we were using, its a router. I dont know much about woodworking, even though Im in my 30's. Its a hobby I never had interest in.

Anyway, after a can of plastic wood, the mistake is 80% fixed. A little more filler and some shaping and we are ready to seal it again. Im probably wasting my time but I have to try to fix it, no matter if it works or not at least Ill know I tried.

one thing is for sure, I'll NEVER believe anyone who says "trust me I know what Im doing" again!

We had been doing some things you should never do before working on a guitar and decided it sounded like a good idea to try to try to add a fancy edge around the body, like a dovetail type thing. It was a dumb idea and it got really messed up.

Just to let everyone know, the Plastic Wood filled in and rebuilt the damaged area nicely. Ill be posting pics of the damaged area soon.

Sorry fdor the double post, here is a shot of the repaired area.

A strip of the body about a quarter of an inch thick broke off of the back of the lower horn. The white area is the plastic wood filler we used to build it back up.

I never want to see a router again as long as I live.
