better built overall, the DKMG or DK 2?

the DKMG goes for quite a bit more money than the DK 2's, is it a better built guitar or the same thing only with the EMGhz's with booster and small fin inlays?

The top of the guitar is not flat. It has a slight arch to it..like a lespaul for example, the top is not flat, like a soloist. Instead it has a "arch top"...maybe soemoen can explain it better than that.

I'm guessing the overall quality would be about the same if you disregard the pickups/preamp.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I wouldn't swear to anything of that sort, but I do prefer the feel of an archtop. Of my Jacksons, my archtop pro's are my favorite hands down. It sort of feels like a more comfortable and sleek Les Paul, I guess.

They say that the archtop gets more tone due to the surfance area.

To give you an idea.

Theoretically for the most surface tone you could get, you would want it to go like

So the sound would go up the sides, and back down.
