    Re: Rhoads Proffessional STD

The Rhoads Std was a bit like a little brother to the Rhoads Pro. The differences were rosewood/dots instead of ebony/fins, no mid-boost and JT580LP instead of the Schaller Floyd.

Build quality should be very good, but I'm not sure how much they go for. Replacing the pickups would be a good idea I think, plus the trem's knife edges or the tremposts may be worn out, so check that if you buy it.

I have one. I'm beginning to think they all came in black............
I'm in the process of dumping mine.

Here is a picture of mine:

Price depends on where you are. In Canada, back in 1995, these sold for $1,000 CDN street price. The retail list for them was $995US..............
You'll have to figure out how much they are worth in Europe..............

I cant tell you how the neck is compared to the RR5, because I have never played an RR5.......I would think they'd be the same though.........

Couldnt tell you that either, since I dont play Vs.....I will say that the neck is nice, but not as nice as a Soloist, though Soloist necks can vary, so I'm sure these do to. I find the neck on mine to be good enough so that if it were a Soloist I would keep it..........

                        Re: Rhoads Proffessional STD

Having played both, I would say the neck on the old Rhoads Std. is comparable to the current RR-5. A bit thicker than you'll find on a USA Jackson, but a very nice shape.

No, just that the old and new import Rhoads neckthrus have similarly thicker necks than the USA guitars. They're all good, though.
