Re: embarrassing question regarding 3 pup guitars

As a result I've never had an issue with hitting the pups.. or turning down the vol by accident..
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's my other problem...knocking into the volume knob on guitars where it's positioned so close to the bridge pickup - as I found early on when I first got my Model 2. This is especially true when I'm picking on the treble strings... my whole hand shifts downward and bumps into the volume pot and usually turns down the volume. I really tried to change my style early on to avoid hitting the volume, but to no avail.

Unfortunately, a LOT of Jacksons/Charvels have the first knob so close to the bridge pickup. Sometimes, I can get away without redrilling a new hole by replacing the knob with a much smaller/shorter one.
