Re: NAMM preview...

I guess I can see the other side of it now, as many of you have pointed out.

Perhaps this is a good thing for Jackson.

I just hope that the quality will remain reasonably high for the JS series.. I'd hate to see people saying the same thing about Jackson as they do about BC Rich or LTD. I guess thats my main concern.

I've always felt Jackson made a quality product, American OR import.. I just want it to stay that way.

I'ts kinda funny being called a snob tho, I'm a fan of even some Korean guitars.

Sunbane: No pickup swap neccesary. Those pickups are pretty good. I used to have one in my Model 1. It was the only thing I could find that gave it some balls.

I expect they'll street for about the same as a JS30, under $300. You can't get a better guitar under $300 than a JS30. Period.

Hell, I'd take a JS30 over a DK2.

I'm not THAT weird. The JS30 has a smaller neck, and better sounding pickups. They play equally well, so I'd go with the cheaper one. Sharks don't matter much to me.

I had a Rhoads EX and the pickups in it screamed. Not sure what they had, but IMHO best stock pickups Jackson made and put into any guitar, USA or import.

Now the REAL Duncans are alot better IMHO.

atomic: Quality control, warranty repairs, and customer service. I also spent way too much time in the warehouse pulling orders. But yes, it was badass.

That's really good news IMO... those models will surely help Jackson to get more entry level customers to get a Jackson as a first guitar.

Damn, that Rhoads whispers my name... and I can easily afford it too!
Would make a great backup to my KVX10 I bet.

And I bet we'll see a 24 fret USA Rhoads soon, too.
