Soloist XL .. I think.. your opinion?

    Soloist XL .. I think.. your opinion?

    spotted this soloist professional on a local site.. seller doesn't know what type it is exactly..

    I got the serial, 930772.. anyway, I don't believe it's an early PRO (which I believe were serialized with Jxxxxxx) so I'm guessing an (93?) Soloist XL (rosewood bound fingerboard)..

    I want to reduce my import Jacksons and keep 1 or 2 max.. so I'm thinking of snatching this one.. what would be a good price for it?

    It says professional on the headstock. It's an import.

        I think the XL Pro's have "XL Pro" written on the truss rod cover. I just bought one last week. That's a nice one ! Check out the XL Pro...any good thread just below yours to see a pic of mine.

          Looks like a Soloist Pro, not an XL. I have one, and mine has a somewhat light, almost brown ebony board.

          Very nice guitars, top of the import heap.

            930772 would make it a Dinky.

              hey Newc.. care to explain how you can see that from the serial.. I mean, is it analogue to US serialization (letter + figures -> neck through, figures -> bolt-on)?

                All import neck throughs started with the letter J from that time period. Bolt ons only had the six numbers.

                      To me, looks like a Dinky Pro.. Looks like a MOP logo, which would make it one of the Pro models, and it's not a Soloist with that serial number.
