• Standard DK2 Nut Width?

    Hi all,

What's the nut width of the JT-580LP that the DK2 comes stock with?

I need to know because I am gonna get a Floyd Rose (not sure which one yet) to replace the JT-580LP on my DK2 Crimson Swirl.

And what is its designation? (R1? R2? R3?)

I know for example that the R2 has nut width of 1 5/8" ... but I can't think in inches... my mind works in metrics Btw, how would you pronounce (1 5/8") anyway?

    Thanks

Should be a 43mm/1 11/16ths nut. And its pronounced "one and five-eighths".

Don't go with the OFR Pro. I put it on my Crim Swirl DK2 but it took some routing on the right side of the recessed cavity to make it fit. Also, unless you're planning on doing some routing in the nut slot, keep your stock nut (unless you're going with black like I did - I just bought a 43mm black nut for it). The nut that comes with the OFR sits too high in the slot. The import nut works just fine, though.

Thanks for clarifying that I saw that on the website, but I wasn't sure if that was referring to the width of the neck itself, or the spacing for the actual nut.
