        shees, old thread...

anyways, i got a question... where does this elave the older Japan made JS's?

are these different guitars? wood, hardware blah blah...

did the japan ones use cedro or alder?

also i have a Japanese JS30 which may not be perfect but it really is not a bad guitar.

Also it has a JT580 trem. The electronics were SHITE! after I gutted them, replaced the pots, changed pups, changed the capacitor etc... it really is not a bad guitar. I love the neck and the sound.

The origianl CVR pups were a bit shart though

They were, I have one from Japan, and the serial confirms it, starts with 97, 7 digits in total, Dont know how many were, but some certainly were

I have serials for two MIJ JS series guitars (2002 JS30 and a 2003 JS20) and I have an MIJ JS30 (not the JS30DK, but the earlier JS30) from 2002 also.

Holy blast from the past, Batman!

I also have an MIJ JS30DK... serial 96..... I got it a few from months ago. I thought it was made in 2005 or '06... but I guess it was probably early 2000's....?

It's really a pretty damn good sounding/playing guitar.

sorry - I was at work. I am home now.

                    My serial # is 9697195.

I got this guitar for $130 off eBay. I was looking for a cheap Jackson w/floyd to get back into it after not playing for about 12 years.

I got lucky I got an MIJ one I guess. When I last played, there was no MII for Jackson so I didn't even think about that possibility when I bid on this guitar. I would've been pissed! lol
