A few of those look Chinese made. Does this co. import cheapass guitars from China? I don't know what I'd do if Jackson ever did that!

Do you guys know when the "street date" is for the JS30KE? I want to be able to walk down to my local Jackson dealer and play one before I plunk down the cash. Sorry if that's a dumb question.

Not a dumb question; it's one I forgot to ask at NAMM! Duh on me.

I wouldn't mind getting the Rhoads one, but only if I can find a dealer who can swap out the neck that's not on Ebay.

Okay............I could see this comming. Cheap ass import crap and from India! Geesh! Japaneese imports kick ass. My DK2 is my favorite guitar out of the 40+ I've owned over the past 20 years. What toaly needs to happen is for Jackson to put out a maple boarded one humbucker shredder just like the DK2, but less the tone knob, blade switch and both single coils. Add a maple board and we're set. A shredder damn it. I know, I know, new Charvels, but I can't even touch one for what they are going for. I'll be swimmin in my own nut juice if I saw something like I just describbed for around $449 street price. Why not do it? There's no other model in the Jackson line that comes close to that. They wouldn't loose sales to any USA model. Besides, for now the USA Charvel line is going to be bought up by the defenders of the San Dimas faith with the bones to blow on one.........or two...........or more. Give us working class people a retro shredder we can afford...............or if nothing else, everybody here pitch in to buy good ol Sarj that crossed swords graphic Charvel in all the purty NAMM pictures............... Well if Cedaro is in fact cedar, I would be skeptical. At a distance cedar and mahogany might have similar color but, that’s where the similarity ends. Not only is one a hard wood and the other softwood but, cedar is probably the softest of softwoods. Using it for the top of an acoustic is one thing but, the whole body??? When dry cedar is super light and brittle. Cedar checks (Splits) quicker than any other wood I am familiar with, just ask a shake maker.

BTW I worked in mills and in the bush for 12 years and....well crap....I'm from the tree raping capital of the world!

It will be iteresting to hear the feedback on these once they get out there. Maybe some special tone that will turn the guitar world up side down. Maybe they treat it with something first. Crap cedar will suck up anything you put on it. It must be a pain for them to prime those bodies.

According to this website

http://www.gropius.de/english/holzga..._en.html#cedro

"Cedro (Cedrela Odorata) is a medium-lightweight wood. It is very stiff in comparison to its weight and is also very resistant against twisting and warping. It has a brown-red colour without a very characteristic structure. It looks similar to several Mahogany species.
origin: Central-America
used for: neck, back-bars, linings, blocks "

Yeah...Which is nothing like this
http://www.gropius.de/english/holzga..._en.html#zeder

Thats the cedar I know. Two different woods. Cedaro doesn't even belong to the same family as cedar.
