was at a pawn shop and saw one of these and the trem looked to have insert knife blades anyone know what trems are on these?

That would be the fantabulous JT580 trem. The Schaller one. Good stuff and they're well made guitars. Go for it if it's the right price.

well im not exactly sure but i will check tommorow. its 120 cash at a pawn shop. did the jdr come with any other trems?

I have a JDR-94 with a Jackson/Floyd trem, so I guess that would be the JT500 ?? I'm playing this guitar for 8 years, almost daily and never had any problems with this trem. And it's still in excellent condition. So I can't understand the bad reviews of the JT500 ( if it actually is one )

The 590 is the Schaller floyd from what I recall.
The 580LP is the MIJ Tak.

I'm sure the JDR-94 came with the JT-500. The JT-500 looks to be it has inserts. It also has the cheesy large fine tuners.
